The National Science Foundation BioXFEL Science and Technology Center administration is based at the Hauptman Woodward Medical Research Institute and is seeking an Education and Diversity Director. The Education and Diversity Director will be responsible for managing and serving as the lead facilitator for a wide array of education and diversity initiatives for the Center and will provide general support to all the  Center participants across multiple institutions. This includes our summer internship program, several fellowship and scholarship programs, scientific and professional development workshops, as well as local and national outreach activities. The new Director will manage, the existing program and report on the outcomes of customized programming that meets the needs of the scholars and addresses current challenges in diverse workforce development and training. Applicants will work closely with our researcher partners at the University of Puerto Rico and provide essential support to ensure the advancement of the next generation of scientists. As the Center transitions to institution-supported efforts, the Director will aid the development of localized educational and diversity initiatives based on the experience garnered at the national level.
