Spence Symposium at ASU
Category: | Seminar |
---|---|
Description: | John Spence had a remarkable scientific impact over an illustrious career spanning nearly 50 years before passing away in June, 2021. His friends and colleagues are honoring his legacy with an international symposium based around the topics of imaging, diffraction and crystallography. A key objective is to project his achievements into the future by discussing current state-of-the art as well as exploring future directions and opportunities in related fields. Contributed talks and posters are welcome. We are especially interested in providing a forum for the next generation of researchers in these areas. More information on the symposium can be found HERE ProceedingsThe journal Ultramicroscopy will publish a Special Issue containing invited and contributed papers from the meeting. Instructions for article submission and information about paper format can be found at the Elsevier / Ultramicroscopy web site. When submitting papers, select VSI: John Spence Legacy as the article type. The due date for manuscript submission is 15 October, 2022. AccommodationParticipants are responsible for their own lodging arrangements. Because March is a very popular month for visiting the Phoenix area, it is advisable to make early reservations.
