REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 18TH

The BioXFEL National Science Foundation Science and Technology Center is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its third annual international conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico January 13th - 15th, 2016.  This segment of the series will focus on biological methods and exciting results from X-ray free electron laser sources as well as half a day on the interplay between synchrotron based studies and XFEL applications. #BioXFEL3

A scientific poster session will be held with posters available for viewing all three days.  Molecular Dimensions is sponsoring the best overall poster award.  A poster committee will be judging posters during the session and the award will be announced on the final day of the conference prior to closing remarks.  Posters should be 30 x 40.  If you have a larger poster already printed that you would like to use please email the conference organizer to ensure there is a board of your size available.  A poster template can be found here.  

In addition, a selection of abstracts will be chosen to give talks.  Some funds are available in $400 increments to offset travel costs for those selected on a case by case basis.  Poster abstracts will be accepted until December 1, 2015 and may be submitted to  Erin Uppington.  For abstract formatting standards please click here.

Acommodations

The conference will be held at the Intercontinental San Juan located just five minutes from the Luis Munoz Marin Airport. Taxi service is available just outside the airport for a flat rate of $12.  Please be aware that cabs often charge $1 per bag handled.

For BioXFEL Members the STC will cover lodging for the four nights of 1/12, 1/13, 1/14, and 1/15 up to the maximum rate of a double occupancy room at $199.  Please keep this in mind and book accordingly.

Registration

The conference fee is $300.  We are pleased to offer a discounted price of $200 for graduate and undergraduate students. Included in the registration fee are the conference meals, bag, and USB drive.  Payments can be made via credit card using the invoice form emailed to you at the time of registration.   We will not reserve your space until payment is received.
