  In February 2018, I began my graduate internship with BioXFEL at Hauptman-Woodward Institute. I brought my thesis project from Puerto Rico to Buffalo under the guidance of Drs. Belinda Pastrana-Rios and William Bauer. I learned crystallization techniques allowing me to obtain crystals from my target protein, complete my thesis, and defend my dissertation. The experience and skills I gained through my internship with BioXFEL led me to my current position as a postdoctoral trainee with Vanderbilt University.
