    My name is Gabriela Casanova Sepulveda. I’m a junior in the University of Puerto Rico- Mayaguez Campus and my major is Industrial Biotechnology. I am a two-time BioXFEL undergrad summer research student. Thanks to these opportunities I was awarded with a MARC scholarship. Also my interest in structural biology and biophysics was discovered through these experiences. I aspire to enter graduate school and specialize myself in these fields. I am a science enthusiast and curious by nature. As a future professional I want to be part of the biomedical field and help the growth of disease treatments and pathways.

    Update: Gabriela was accepted into graduate programs at Cornell University, Yale University and NYU. She accepted a position at Yale and started the fall of 2018 in the Structural Department.
